These terms describe how Anansesem is intended to be used. They have not been reviewed by a lawyer, so have them reviewed before publishing them as your binding terms.
An account must be opened by an adult (a parent, guardian, or teacher) who is responsible for the child profiles created under it. Children use the app through a profile a parent has set up, and cannot create accounts or profiles themselves.
Stories, illustrations, animation, and narration are produced by AI models at the moment they are requested. They are checked automatically for age-appropriateness before a child sees them, but automated checks are not perfect. Parents should treat Anansesem as a supervised activity rather than an unattended one, and can report anything that seems wrong from Help.
Because stories are generated, two children asking for the same thing will not get the same story, and a story is not a statement of fact. Educational content should be treated as a starting point for a conversation, not as a reference work.
Stories generated for a family are theirs to read, print, and share within that family. Anansesem keeps them so they remain available in the child’s library across devices.
The service is provided as-is. Generating a new story requires a connection and depends on third-party AI providers, so generation can be slow or briefly unavailable. Stories already in a library remain readable.
A parent can delete their account and all child profiles under it at any time from Account settings. See Privacy for what deletion removes.
